Bamburi Cement share fell 6.6 percent on Thursday ahead of their suspension from trading today to determine the acceptance of the company’s buyout offer from Tanzania’s Amsons Group.

The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) will introduce Options Derivatives trading on NEXT, the NSE’s Derivatives Market, following approval from the Capital Market Authority. The introduction of Options contrats is aimed at developing and deepening the derivatives market in Kenya by expanding the suite of financials instruments available to investors.

Companies listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange will now be required to develop and submit to the regulator a forward-looking calendar of corporate announcements, including release of financial statements and dividend payment dates.
