The Annual Headline Inflation Rate for the month of September, 2013 has further decreased to 6.1% from 6.7% recorded in August, 2013, the statistics office said in a statement.

Annual Inflation Rate for food has decreased to 6.9% in September as compared to 7.1% in August. In addition, the 12 month index change for non food products has decreased to 6.0% in September compared to 7.3% recorded in August.

The Annual Inflation Rate which excludes food and energy for the month of September has decreased to 5.8% from 6.2% recorded in August. Annual Inflation Rate for Energy and fuels has decreased to 9.6% compared to 15.2% recorded in August, 2013.

The Monthly Headline Inflation Rate for the month of September has increased by 0.5% compared to a decrease of 0.1% in August.
