Standard & Poor's Ratings Services affirmed its 'B+/B' ratings on the Republic of Senegal. The outlook is stable.

    OVERVIEW

We project that Senegal's economic growth will accelerate in 2015-2018, owing to strong public and private investment, and consider the country's institutions fairly strong compared with those of sub-Saharan Africa.

However, we expect the country's sizable fiscal and current account deficit will narrow gradually.

We are affirming our 'B+/B' sovereign credit ratings on Senegal.

The stable outlook is based on our expectations of higher growth and gradual fiscal and external improvement over the next 12 months.
