ZIMBABWE Stock Exchange’s (ZSE) automated trading platform is set to go live next month, a development which could see trades quadrupling, chief executive Alban Chirume said on Wednesday.

LISTED construction and manufacturing company, Masimba Holdings, is to separately list its plastics manufacturing subsidiary, Proplastics, on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) next week, the Financial Gazette's Companies & Markets (C&M) can report.

THE value of shares traded on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange fell by 22,2 percent in the first quarter of this year compared to the same quarter last year as liquidity tightened.

ASTRA Holdings is planning to de-list from the domestic bourse. The new shareholders, who now hold over 80 percent of stock in the company, are compelled to do so by listing regulations after taking up more stock than they should have left to allow for at least 30 percent of the shares to be free floating.
