Egypt’s annual core consumer price index (CPI) inflation recorded 22.6% in January 2025, compared to 23.2% in December 2024, according to the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) data.

    The monthly core CPI inflation hit 1.7% last January, compared with 2.2% in January 2024 and 0.9% in December 2024.

    As per the CBE, the monthly urban headline CPI inflation reached 1.5% in January 2025, higher than 0.2% in December 2024.

    Meanwhile, the annual urban headline CPI inflation hit 24% in January 2025, compared to 24.1% in December 2024.

    On February 10th, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed that Egypt's annual headline inflation hit 23.2% in January 2025, compared to 23.4% in December 2024.
