In an effort to increase the scope of capital market products available in Kenya, the Capital Markets Authority is set to facilitate the establishment of an Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) market to improve liquidity and ultimately deepen the capital markets.
The Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) became an associate member of the Association of Futures Markets (AFM). The Association promotes and encourages the establishment of new derivative and related markets and organizes international conferences to promote communication, transfer of information and experiences among members.
