The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) has announced the official launch of Data Direct, a new market data platform designed to provide streamlined access to information from both the ZSE and the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange (VFEX).
Data Direct is an AI-enabled platform that offers a range of market data services, including end-of-day reports, historical data, and access to real-time market activity through a View-Only Terminal (VOT). According to the ZSE, the platform was developed in response to feedback gathered during its soft launch in April 2025.
As part of the ZSE’s broader digital transformation strategy, the platform aims to improve access to market data for a variety of users. Unlike ZSE Direct and VFEX Direct, which primarily facilitate retail trading, Data Direct focuses on delivering comprehensive market intelligence and data services on a centralized platform.
Key Features of Data Direct
- Market Data Access: Includes end-of-day reports and historical trading data for both ZSE and VFEX.
- AI Integration: Offers AI-generated insights intended to enhance the timeliness and accuracy of market analysis.
- Customizable Subscriptions: Users can select from three subscription packages, available for 3, 6, or 12 months, with the option to customize data inclusions.
- View-Only Terminal: Provides real-time visibility into market activity without trading capabilities.
- User Interface: The platform is designed to be accessible for users with varying levels of technical expertise.
- Payment Options: Subscriptions can be paid through the Paynow gateway using multiple local payment methods.
The ZSE states that the platform is intended to meet the diverse needs of its stakeholders, including institutional and retail investors, analysts, and researchers.
