About the company
Egyptian Iron and Steel announced in earlier 2021 that it will spin off its mining operations under a two-year liquidation process that would see it sell its steel plant in Helwan as part of a government strategy to streamline the public sector. The spinout, named Iron and Steel Mines and Quarries, listed c. 978 mn shares on EGX.
