Shell has discovered two new oil wells in the Mediterranean Sea of Egypt, namely Mina West and Khufu, as per a statement by the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources.

    The announcement was made during a meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek El-Molla and Executive Vice President of LNG at Shell Cederic Cremers.

     

     

    Cremers revealed that Shell is preparing to develop its strategy in Egypt and intensify its efforts in light of its current research and exploration campaign, in addition to developing the tenth and eleventh phases of the West Nile Delta deep project.

    Shell recently contributed to the areas of operational efficiency, security, and safety, and the research and exploration campaign that lasted for more than 180 days, in addition to the efficient implementation of seismic survey programs, he pointed out.

    He stressed Shell’s full commitment to making more discoveries, increasing production, and pumping more investments in the near future.
