On June 26, 2025, Movis Côte d’Ivoire (SVOC), a company specialized in transport and logistics, was officially delisted from the Regional Stock Exchange (BRVM).
This move follows a public buyout offer carried out between April 21 and May 21, 2025, initiated by its controlling shareholder, Movis International. The offer aimed to acquire the remaining 111 shares in circulation — representing the entire free float — at a price of 40,000 CFA francs per share (approximately USD 66.85). The offer was fully subscribed.
The decision to exit the stock market dates back to May 2024, when the company announced a significant deterioration in its financial health: weak receivables recovery, rising costs, and declining productivity. Over the last three fiscal years, Movis CI accumulated nearly CFA 12 billion (around USD 20 million) in losses, including CFA 3.51 billion for the 2023 financial year alone.
With the delisting, Movis CI officially leaves a market where its stock had stagnated for some time, with trading volumes too low to justify continued listing. Its departure leaves Africa Global Logistics as the sole representative of the transport sector on the BRVM.
For Movis International, this move is part of a broader strategy to streamline operations and refocus the company under majority ownership, free from the transparency and cost obligations associated with being publicly listed. By exiting the market, Movis CI now aims to operate more independently and flexibly in addressing the challenges of its industry.
