🇧🇼 Botswana Stock Exchange

The country’s listed commercial banks are amongst the biggest gainers on the Botswana Stock Exchange (BSE) thus far this year, led by Standard Chartered Bank Botswana, whose share price had risen by 32.3% as at the end of November.

Local telecoms service provider, the Botswana Telecommunications Corporation (BTC), has noted a surge in profits during its half year ended September 30, 2024.

Leading retail, wholesale and manufacturing group, Sefalana, has declared its highest full-year dividend to date of 65 thebe, on the back of a resilient performance in its most recent financial period.

The combined value of companies listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange's (BSE) Domestic Companies Index (DCI) rose 17% in the first half of the year when compared to the level last June, buoyed by strong performances nearly across the board.
