Centum Investment Company Limited has received Capital Markets Authority (CMA) approval for the public listing of Kenya Shilling Six Billion through the issuance of fixed rate and equity linked notes on the Fixed Income Securities Market Segments (FIMS) of the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). The tenor of the notes will be five (5) years.
Regulations for new collective investment products modelled on unit trusts but with lower management fees will be introduced by July this year.
The NSE will from May 19 classify the four companies under the Growth and Enterprise Market (Gems) segment with other stocks, ending their separate category.
PUBLICLY traded companies will soon be able to tap funds from rich international investors by cross-listing shares on London Stock Exchange, the world's fifth largest bourse by wealth.
